Marwa Fayed’s Toy Run

Toy Run for Orphanages was an initiative launched by Samra wife Marwa Fayed in 2010. After she passed away in 2013, he decided to honor his late wife in continuing her work in gathering used toys for world’s orphans.

Marwa Fayed’s Toy Run is not an Egypt-only initiative; donations are gathered from all over the world. Toys are collected from Egypt, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Denmark, US, Canada, China, France and many other countries. The toys are not only given to orphanages but also shared with children in remote and underprivileged areas, hospitals and NGOs, but after they have been carefully and beautifully wrapped.

The Humanitarian Award from MBC Hope went to Egyptian explorer and adventurer Omar Samra for his volunteer project which carries the name of his late wife.
